Housekeeping Mission Statement

I follow this cool blog (Home Sanctuary) and today's small thing was creating your very own housekeeping mission statement for 2011. Now, I live alone. Trust me, it is quite easy to let things go and allow the clutter and dust bunnies to breed. The cat doesn't care as long as food appears in her bowl at her appointed times and her little box gets cleaned regularly...  So this is what I've come up with that should work for my life.

I want my house to be clutter-free and inviting;
a place where I can relax alone or with family & friends.

So I will be working on de-cluttering and craigslist & ebay will be my new BFF's. Another area is consistency... I like the idea of setting aside one day per week to clean and truly it goes faster that way. But things pop up & get in the way. So I will also need to focus and schedule my life better.
