Saturday Gardening

The afternoon was spent gardening - the adult version of playing in the sandbox. Pulling weeds, mixing dirt and compost and dumping in another location, planting vinca (aka perriwinkle) and pulling more weeds.

my friend Jan & I planted corn in this raised bed along the back of the yard.

the vinca planted here is from my neighbor - she has lots of extra! It is a groundcover that I'm hoping will make this area look beautiful.
