After a bit of a hiatus, I'm back into reading mode.
Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez is written as a fantasy of real life. At points it is hard to tell what is reality and what is fantasy within the story - almost as if it were a fairy tale. And the characters reflect the confusion. Young love, rejection, marriage, illegitimate love are all portrayed. I thought there was an over abundance of love-making and sex. Though, I suppose one could make the claim that it was discrete. So just a warning if you decide to check it out.
