#Reverb10: Prompt 11, the blog-along - February Update

I'm a bit shocked that it is the end of February and needing to make an update on the the #Reverb10 prompt for the blog-along with  MathNerd314 and [info]chemgal18.

Here is the prompt for those who may have missed the first post:
What are 11 things your life doesn't need in 2011?
How will you go about eliminating them?
How will getting rid of these 11 things change your life?

And here is the short list of my eleven things:
35 pounds, excess stuff, a house, money stress, stress, second guessing decisions, procrastination, loneliness, single discontent, over-analyzing work situations and lack of traveling.

In reviewing the past month, I realized that very little time has been spent working on the 11 things.  The biggest success is that I feel back on track with Weight Watchers. Yes, I've been going for about 2 years but I've spent the last 18 months struggling. Something clicked about two weeks ago and I'm "back on the wagon" and loosing again.

I've been more cautious about inviting more "stuff" into my house but very little concrete action. I did sign up for Simplify 101's Organize Your Closet workshop. I love the camaraderie & accountability built into the workshops because it motivates me to stop procrastinating!

The money stress is about to be reduced. I was offered & accepted a new position at work. It means a modest pay raise (woot!) but new challenges that may be stressful. I'm really excited about the opportunity to further my career and learn new things. The new department has a bit of a work-a-holic reputation that concerns me but I think it should be workable. I'm not planning to "second guess" this decision or "over-analyze" my new department! Alas, it puts most travel on hold while adjusting to the new position, but I know that visitors will be welcomed!

It's not too late to join the 2011 Challenge! Just leave your url in the comments.
